how Does Ellavi UBT Work?
Ellavi UBT stops Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) due to an atonic uterus. The balloon fills the entire uterus and applies pressure to the uterine wall. When contractility is regained, the free flow system allows the contracting uterus to push water back into supply bag while maintaining the tamponade effect.

use ellavi ubt in conjunction with uterotonics
The sooner Ellavi balloon can be placed in the uterus, the sooner the bleeding can be stopped. The sooner the bleeding stops, coagulopathies can be averted.
- ellavi free flow balloon does not obstruct uterine contraction
- once atony is reversed, the contracting uterus can push water back into the supply bag while maintaining the tamponade effect
1. stops the bleeding by applying pressure
1. The higher the supply bag hangs, the higher the pressure inside the balloon.
2.The lower the supply bag hangs, the lower the pressure inside the balloon.
2. the uterus regains contractility
The height of the supply bag above the bed, determines how easy it is for the uterus to push water out of the balloon once it regains contractility.
